Napier & Hawke’s Bay Top Activities
The Hawke’s Bay is unique, both in New Zealand and around the world!
From Napier’s incredible Art Deco buildings to the quintessentially-Kiwi tour of the gannet colony (just outside of Hastings), the Hawke’s Bay is well worth travelling to.
Should your schedule allow, February really is the time to visit Napier. The city comes to life at this time of year as the Art Deco Festival is celebrated. It’s a fantastic opportunity to check out classic cars, clothes, music, buildings and more – a true celebration of all things retro!

In addition, you’ll want to check out the Sea Walls (a collection of incredible hand-painted murals on more than 50 walls all around Napier), Marine Parade and ‘Pania of the Reef’.
